You can upgrade the converter portion of the power center. I did so on our 2016 RP-179. I removed the converter and still have it here. It is a WF-8950L2-MBA. When we traded, the new trailer came with an automatic converter that can detect which type of battery it is charging and adjust accordingly. I am keeping the 8950L2-MBA as a backup in case something happens to the automatic one.

All the the Rpods I've seen have typically had a WFCO converter. Early versions before 2019 or so typically would only handle SLA batteries (Sealed Lead Acid). In later years they started getting the ones that could also do LFP batteries.

I would check to see which model converter you have, then check the model number at the WFCO website.

I don’t think the charger in my R-Pod 191 is lithium compatible. Will I be able to use a lithium battery and jut charge it fully with an external charger?
