Trailer awnings are problematic. They tend to get mangled when the wind comes up and you are not at your trailer site.
The simple thing is to add a free standing awning with 4 legs like craft vendors use.

Check out MoonShade. Our 171 came with one and it's great. Takes less than 5 minutes to attach. We don't have rails so the suction cup option is perfect. They offer several different rail attachments as well.
Super sturdy design...can leave it up in bad weather.

Awning ideas. We have 2013 RPOD 182 G with the garage in the back. Any suggestions what will work for an awning like a cassette style on the door side. I ma struggling to find one that will fit above the existing keeder rail that the Rdome attaches to sometimes.
