I believe the concern is with jacking under an axle on a dual axle trailer since you are lifting half the trailer weight on an axle normally carrying 1/4th the trailer weight.

I place my jack under the axle of my 171 where the axle is bolted to the frame. All the force is transferred to the frame with no risk of bending the axle. I place a small piece old of carpet on my rolling jack pad when I lift to provide some cushion and avoid scratching the paint. Your 195 is single axle so this same lift point is fine.

Hope you enjoy your R-Pod!

I'm new to the forum and to RV'ing.  I have a 2020 RPod 195, and while I just put new tires on it, I'm researching how to change a tire should that need arise.  Two questions:

1. It's been recommended to me that the BIG RED 10 Ton Torin Hydraulic Welded Bottle Jack would be a good jack for this purpose.  Does that sound reasonable, or do you have another recommendation?

2. I don't know where to place the jack in terms of lifting the RV.  My understanding is that using the axle is a no no (I guess it's hollow or something....just not structurally wise for the purpose).  What do you do for this?

Thank you, love the forum and my new adventure!
