I just made a deposit today on a brand new 2017 rp-179. The television included is an Insigna instead of the old Jensen? They had 2 2017 on the lot with Insigna televisions...

Also the wall mount is different... And can tilt... I will post pictures when I have mine at home...

Nope. 120v only for the television. No 12v outlet either. Everything else seems to be the same. though. I have examined everything throuhly, but did not have an 'older' (in the lot) 179 to compare.

Insignia is a cheap brand of TV. The one I had in the garage lasted a year, just past warranty. I've never had a TV wear out that quick. It's apparently a cost cutting move.

I don't know which is worst... Insigna or Jensen... I guess that we'll have to find our the hard way... In any case, the wall mount is at least what people have been asking for for quite a long time. I'll do a complete review of the new mount and Television. when I have it at home.

If I am not mistaken the Insignia brand is a Chinese off brand sold at Best Buy. They are junk.

Angle seems to be about 15 degres. Not that much, but a BIG improvement over 0 degres.

Comparing both, one is almost unwatchable the other is near perfect on the couch.
