I just removed the frog cartoon decal that came with my 2015 177.
The vinyl came off fine with a heat gun and a razor blade.
The adhesive is another story.  Lacquer thinner and acetone won't touch it.
Steel wool just crumbles little fibers into the glue.
Razor blade has little affect on it.

Any suggestions for removing the glue?

Rapid Remover.  https://www.amazon.com/Remover-Adhesive-Chizler-Plastic-Blades/dp/B08PVYQLZL/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.978KZXHxuBorLbapMmivsdIne8mSbidvR5o5eqcxmPo52GiinOuWLDYm6rN0kdAvvD4aRrMIov6iFMBeHOZvTMYZGfMHcLkQqEaMWTvCxXH_t_CNdonmFnZRQZHHZ1buzsOvuec8T7HTYVkMKIBjaGepleFSEmEP-POywPrWD51tw4ITqNdc6qPmDGX9VVBbTsVVrGWYDoCwi4Rx8pr3IMNskloTh1Sv8bgD6vXhjKqBfiZrRleSaZF1YwlQVKsNy5Y_hVqNel6skwa7WMcXVwfF_ocbHym5s7hNirKTbgs.rsA8GtLxmExhTnhWk39ki5j2k8TMquF---meBUAhPIU&dib_tag=se&hvadid=616932880756&hvdev=c&hvexpln=0&hvlocphy=9190480&hvnetw=g&hvocijid=2575142745579584490--&hvqmt=e&hvrand=2575142745579584490&hvtargid=kwd-306036920300&hydadcr=29596_14648803&keywords=rapid%2Bremover&mcid=2e00dd447bf93d369b583aa4adc9689b&qid=1765544981&sr=8-2-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&th=1

We removed all of our decals on our 179 when they got faded and cracked. This stuff took the sticky stuff and the hard, dried on stuff off. Wear a mask.

I cleaned up the link for you. When copying an Amazon link, you just need to copy all before the /ref. Also, if you use the link function in the editor, you can paste a working link. Be sure to change the http to https in the drop-down menu as needed. Then delete the http(s):// in the link so it isn't duplicated. This will make the links work and will clean up the appearance of posts.

Respectfully,

Stephen

Goo Gone is easy to get.  I tried it with little effect.
Rapid Remover is next.

Rapid Remover is also a fail.
I am dealing with the adhesive used by the factory to secure their decals.
