Top of the passenger side wheel toed in. Bent axle for the 3rd time. This time and the first time, I don’t even remember hitting anything that would cause a bent axle. This is ridiculous. Probably time for something different…

When the tank is full, it really can’t slosh much. And your trailer is probably 3000 lbs+. The water is less than 10% of the trailer weight. I tow with my fresh tank full with a mid-size SUV and haven’t had any issues with the water contributing to side-to-side sway. If anything, it adds weight on the tongue which makes for less side-to-side trailer sway.

We routinely empty the tanks on the way out of RV parks. We want to fill the FW tank at home for this next trip.

I didn't see baffles when looking through the translucent FW tank wall. Fluids slosh when cornering. (40 gal of gas in a retrofitted tank, with no baffles, can destabilize a light pickup.)

• Is sloshing of 250 gallons of water, low to the road, even a problem?
• If a problem, will the hitch stabilizer help? (It's a size up from the minimum required.)
• What other gotchas await us?

Thanks,

I knew they had to be somewhere but wasn't sure. BTW, all I did to get good access was remove the screws holding the front half of the plywood under the bed, and then lift it and the mattress up for the 30 seconds it took to open/close the three valves. Didn't put the screws back in as the mattress more than holds the plywood in place.

Rod G.

This looks consistent on both side but the door size is harder to eye ball due to the door itself. Yes, I blew a tire which took out the axle so Blue Compass RV in Prescott, AZ recently installed but "did not notice" the slider sag. Lastly, has anyone welded the outriggers as compared to drill and tap?

Thanks for your input.
