Hey Bowcat66, welcome to your 24/7 owners manual where, in my many years on this forum have never come across a stupid question, and yours do not qualify either!  +1 to LA's response.

IF you decide to let your 180 set awhile unplugged or not hooked to solar for more than a few days it is a good idea to set your battery switch to off, if you don't have one like me, then simply unhook the cable going to your (-) ground on the battery.

I received a private message from this poster yesterday.  They asked that I respond with my email address as they had an urgent issue to discuss with me.  I checked them out in the members list.

They had joined the forum that same day and had made zero posts.  Of course I didn't respond and deleted the message from my inbox.
