Author: tkenjack
Subject: 9949
Posted: 13 May 2017 at 10:59pm

Hello, name's Tim and I'm currently living and working in Phoenix, AZ. I'll be age 62 this year and retiring soon after. I've been looking at A-frames, other TT's but I keep getting drawn back to r-Pods. I'm single and leaning towards the 178 with the u-dinette. I like the livability of that set-up because I'm strongly drawn to the Pacific Northwest, especially Oregon, so in inclement weather, I'll be comfortably kicking back 'on the sofa! I've got a 1/2 ton GMC Sierra Ext Cab w/towing package. Truck only gets 17 mpg in the city now, so I do have concerns about how far this will drop when towing. Plan (maybe) on keeping my house in Phoenix as a place to come back to, but also plan to travel whenever and wherever I feel like. I read an article recently about old dogs like me (children of the seventies) who, as a hobby, travel the country to see musicians (concerts) they like. Thought of a VW bus (also from the seventies) but they cost more than an r-Pod! Anyway, thanks for adding me to the forum. I'm sure I'll learn a lot from you all. If you have a HRE or lifted r-Pod 178 for sale please let me know. I realize I'm going to most likely travel out of state to get one - maybe you're in Oregon! Righteous. Safe Travels.
