In addition, the bug screens would also act as a flame suppressor. I don't think there is any need to change over unless there are signs specifically prohibiting propane use.]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=1146" rel="nofollow">jato</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 9924<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 10 May 2017 at 4:02pm<br /><br />Ours always runs on propane with the exception of one time we were approaching a tunnel in the east and there was a sign saying no propane usage so we stopped and switched over to our battery.&nbsp; A couple minutes later we stopped again and switched back to propane.&nbsp; Amazed as we have gone through longer tunnels out west and have never seen any signage stating to not run propane.&nbsp; The filling cap on our Explorer is on the passenger side whereas the vent port for the fridge is on the drivers side, quite a distance separating the two I feel when fueling up.]]>

Exceptions would be anywhere that doesn't have good ventilation (e.g. some tunnels). From the discussions I've seen here and on the FB group, many RVs have fridges that won't run on 12V, only on propane or AC, so they either run on propane or nothing while on the road.]]>
