Author: VenturaDi
Subject: 990
Posted: 24 Dec 2009 at 6:43pm

Here in Ventura County, in Southern California, we have a very nice campground at Lake Casitas.
There are 13 different areas, and sites range from basic dirt pad/no hookups to deluxe with 40' concrete pad/water/electric/TV to executive with 40' concrete pad/full hookups.
All sites have picnic tables and fire rings.
There is a "water adventure" area open in the summer, and a model airplane strip at one end used on the weekends. While we were there last month, we saw quite a few flying out over the lake. (hubby could tell you which planes....some WWII models, etc.)

Dogs are allowed (2), there's boating and/or kayaking and fishing, but no swimming (it's a municipal water supply).

We'll be trying another local campground, Camp Comfort in Ojai, next month. Will post about it then.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!

Diane
