We have not, but another couple we ride tandems with, SHE is a freeking monster, he hooked up a drive on her stationary trainer to attach their GrainMaker grain mill to... so she makes a couple cups of flour every day while riding the trainer, and he bakes bread and cookies with the "proceeds".. it's a win-win as they say.. LOL

Oh, and on the shorts.. A) try "bibs" I have always like them better, and, B) look at Mt. Biking shorts, they have a inner liner with pad, and a more.. "casual" look on the outside... Wink

furpod, I gotto a ways to go before I work the courage to try on a pair of those butt hugger shorts. I just started this and 30 minutes/day @ 80-90 cadence with moderate resistance is just enough to make me drool and speak incoherently.

If you get a set of rollers like a real cyclist.. you will find you dress appropriately.. No one want's EMT's to find them in a bathrobe.. Although, with maybe 1000 miles on my rollers, I never have crashed... bad.

Glad I put a marine porthole on the door of our pod. 😎

I had given some thought to a periscope mounted on top, but decided it was too much trouble and would not be of much use.  

Now maybe I should rethink the idea.  Our rivers are rising here as the days are getting hot and the snow is melting fast.
