The heater is a propane hog, while the fridge will sip at the propane tank. I usually turn the thermostat down to about 60 degrees when we go to bed and turn it up in the morning when I get up since I get up before my wife. On our last trip, I picked up a Mr. Buddy Portable. The onboard furnace uses propane for the heat and 12V for the fan. The fan draws 3.4A while it's running. A fully charged Gp24 battery will easily run it for a night if it's not well below freezing. I have not done any boondocking yet but, plan to this year. I am wondering how you run the heater in the Pod at night when you shut the generator off for quiet hours.
