Have to agree with you, if we purchased every extended warranty offered to us we would have spent thousands and would have lost money.  But another year for the RV for $150 and two years for the furnace for only $30 I think are too good to pass up.  I registered the Dometic refrigerator warranty and they are offering a discount of additional three years for $169.99 instead of $199.99.  I think I will pass on that on.  Never had a refrigerator go out before five years.

Some people like to purchase warranties, extended warranties, and extra-extended warranties.  Then there are some like me who plainly say, "No thanks,"  I have never been a fan of warranties, have never purchased one either for my pod, car, appliances, anything.  I have never regretted this decision, but do like the amount I have saved over the years.
