I am single and travel with my dog. Backing up is probably the thing that causes folks the most concern. It is good to find an empty parking lot, like a church or school (when they are closed), and practice. It may seem frustrating at first but, you'll get better. There are some videos on YouTube that may help. Take it slow/easy and don't expect perfection from yourself. More often than not, it takes a few tries to get it right.

With no co-pilot/spotter, good outside rearview mirrors are very desirable - for both backing up and lane changes/passing. There are mirror extensions/add-ons, if this would help.

Expect about 10-12mpg when towing. If your vehicle has "overdrive", it is best not to use it - consult your owners manual (I am not familiar with Lexus). Give yourself a little more braking distance and take turns a little wider.

An anti-sway devise or weight distributing hitch with built in anti-sway may be something to look in to. Many of us use the Fastway E2.

Single campers are a minority, in my experience. When asked about it or being single, in general, my response is usually:
There is no such thing as an ideal existence.
There are pluses and minuses to being single.
There are pluses and minuses to being married/involved/committed.
What kind of problems do you want to have?

Hi. I just bought a 2015 RP179 and will be pulling with a 2007 Lexus RX350. I am looking into installing a transmission cooler and brake controller.
