They are expecting huge crowds everywhere in the path of totality (?) and recently hundreds of camping spots (I use that spots term loosely) were sucked up with hours of being posted online.  I fully expect gridlock on the major highways across the mountain passes on the day after.  That is going to be one weekend we will be just day trippers without the pod and headed to Cascade Locks for the annual PCT days event.  <img src="https://www.rpod-owners.com/smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> ]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=6900" rel="nofollow">SciTchr</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 9648<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 23 Apr 2017 at 8:32pm<br /><br />Good Evening All, &nbsp;I just bought a used 2014 R-Pod 171. &nbsp;Love it! &nbsp;I need to search for the leak that is inflating the flooring, and the door lock needs replacing, but it generally seems sound and everyone tells me it's cute. &nbsp;It is R-Escape Pod.<div><br></div><div>The Eclipse: I was teaching physics when we had the excellent good fortune to have a beautiful day in Syracuse, NY to view the solar eclipse several years ago. &nbsp;I made a GIANT telephoto pinhole projector for my students to view with. &nbsp;The pinhole was in a piece of heavy duty aluminum foil at the end of roughly 12 feet of heavy cardboard carpet tube. &nbsp;The other end was inserted into a well fitted hole in a cardboard box. &nbsp;White paper made up the screen we projected onto. &nbsp;Students viewed through the corner of the box that I removed. &nbsp;It was hard to hold the tube steady ... If I do it again, I'll lean it on a car or tall stepladder. &nbsp;BUT the image of the eclipse was wonderful!!!</div>]]>
