I figured that white would reflect some of the heat so the AC would not have to work so hard. I have not had a chance to really test it as I did it toward the end of last summer after we finished our trips. It should make a difference though. Try attaching a few strips of self adhering Velcro to the inside of the vent housing. You only need one sex of the Velcro to increase the friction to the fuzzy pillow.
