I am a former dog owner and always took my dog with me when l left the campground. I missed out on a lot of hikes because the dog could not go on a trail but l would find other things to do with the pet were he could accompany me or not do it. That's what a responsible pet owner does. Now days many attractions offer pet care while you are doing their activities (such as whale watching at Bar Harbor,Maine). It was not available a few years ago. No longer have a pet at the moment but annoyed by others lack of responsible pet ownership.]]>

We had our 12 year old sheltie, Angel, put to sleep two years ago and said we would never have another dog as it was too painful to let them go. Didn't last long. We now have two shelties in our Pod, one is a barker and the other quiet as a mouse. Camping was just not the same without a Sheltie. Our motto is "Shelties are like a potato chip.........you can never have just one".]]>
