Author: rpodcamper.com
Subject: 905
Posted: 30 Nov 2009 at 4:07pm

I simply take some Bisquick andmix it up with enough water tomake a dough that I can spoonout in biscuit size amounts. (This will take a littlepractice.) I usually put 16 or sobiscuits in a 12 inch oven. Thissize oven is good forbiscuits. Eachbiscuit must be rolled in oil (that's what makes them brown),so add enough oil to your ovento very lightly coat each one asyou add them to the oven. Don'tworry about their being round. Itwon't matter. Just crowd them touse up your dough. Now we areready to add heat. I'm usuallyin a hurry, so I start with 8charcoals on the bottom and 12or so on top. When the biscuitshave raised and begin to looklike biscuits, reduce the heat onthe bottom by two charcoals andcook until the sides begin topull away from the side of theoven. You will see, as theypull away, that they are alsobeginning to brown around theedges. When this happens, remove the bottom heat andcontinue to cook on top untilthey are as brown and crusty ontop as you like them to be . Thebiscuits will take about 30minutes. They are very easy to do; alwaysa big hit at your cookout.
