Longview RV, Connecticut : I left that place the one time...

I got such a bad vibe from them I wouldn't even use the water bubbler. Imagine the guy wanting you to fill out paperwork before discussing the price. I tend to not be very shy about expressing myself and, I looked right at him and said" Do I really look that stupid". He of course said, oh nooooo, I just need to have something written down before I can talk to the manager, it's just the way they do it. I left a few minutes later. But heres a possible bright spot. Dufours R.V. has treated me great so far. They are in fitchburg mass, about 1 1/2 hours north east of longview. I dont know if they work on pods purchased elsewhere, but if you explain your case, and tell them you want to stay with them, i doubt they would say no. Sorry for your dealer nightmare. I just posted recently about this crap.

I looked at the guy and said, ummm, i have a price much lower, so lets see if we can go from there. he wanted me to sign paperwork before he would tell me if he could meet that price, which i know he wouldn't, so i left. turns out i ended up getting the newer model ( that i didnt know was changing) because i ordered it, and they charged the same price for all the upgrades.

They are Forest River dealers and when we bought our Rpod from Couch's in 2013, they took care of the warranty work with no problem. Rpod was NOT one of the lines that they carried at the time.

Now they are Rpod dealers and WILL NOT do warranty work on pods bought elsewhere.

Another dealer moves to the dark side.

I don't undertand the logic in this. Once you own a camper, it must be maintained and they charge good money for service. Because they took care of me the first time, I went back for other work that I couldn't do myself. I was ready to have them do some more work (on the brakes) but when I heard of the new policy, I found another service garage and cancelled my appointment.
