Air goes in and exhaust exists on the outside, only.]]>

Is it coming from the area of your electrical panel? I'm not sure about the 177. We have th e179, and the converter fan operates when the converter is supplying 12V power.&nbsp;What you are describing sounds more like the converter fan as our furnace does not have a purge motor separate from the main blower. <br>]]>

It doesn't sound like it usually does when there is water in the system. It's a soft continuous motor running like may be a purge fan of some sort. Since I don't have a furnace manual (not in all the literature given) i couldn't do much trouble shooting. I don't think the furnace has such a fan. the main van comes on for a bit which probably blows any gas out before the valve opens to light. <br>Just guessing here as I have no manual.<br></font></font>]]>
