Sounds like a good time. We stayed a night at Arrowhead state park on the way to Devils Den Arkansas. We just spent 10-days camping at Buzzard's Roost Campground on Lake Murray, OK. We got there on a Friday evening as a Pacific Cold Front moved in. 

There were Thunderstorms and wind Saturday night (maybe up to 50 mph). Rain fell so hard we couldn't hear each other talking. Sunday turned cooler - pleasant. Later in the day saw a light rain. Windows open, a light breeze, dinner was awesome.

The rest of the week saw fall like weather. A few leaves flying. Geese flying back and forth on the lake.

Buzzard's Roost Information: Sites 1-18 are full hookup (w/ sewer). 19-32 are electric and water only. There is a dump station. First come first serve (no reservations). Convenient to Ardmore for supplies.
