based on volume, the Lance is almost exactly twice the size of furpod..  and about 75% of the Airstream. Or... "just right"

Yes, the N/S bed is something we are looking forward to, though I haven't ever felt the E/W bed in the pod was that big of an issue. We for sure like the 4 seasons aspect, as early/late season is our favorite time of year to be in the woods. Something I didn't know, the "fireplace" in an RV, or at least in this one, can be visual, OR it can be a 1500watt heater that's pleasant to look at and not in the middle of the floor.. which is what we use in the pod most of the time anyways if we have hookups.

The thing that would also help me to move to a Lance eventually is the 4 season package. It would also have to wait until we got a vehicle with a higher tow rating as I would want one with the walk-around bed. Until then, I am very happy with our RP-179, especially with my modifications. Big smile

Well.. not sure how it moves us to glamping.. since we started with an Airstream.. maybe.. "back to glamping"?  LOL.

We really wanted just a bit more room so Sue can work from the camper, allowing us to "go out" for longer.. saving vacation days. We have done it a few times with the pod, and it's OK, unless we get a run of bad weather, then the pod gets cramped and the occupants get irritable.. Wink

The numbers work out that we get 50% more floor space, and nearly double the volume of space. WE really wanted to go with the 1995 after seeing one in person, BUT.. It has the smallest shower of ANY camper I have ever seen. If we didn't use ours everyday, I guess it might be workable. And a mod can be done to get a little more room by moving the curtain out a couple inches, but.. it would always feel pretty tight I think.

WE are hoping for a good winter.. we JUST lit the stove for the first time yesterday, usually we have burned a rick by now.. last weekend you couldn't find ice at any convenience stores because the hunters had bought it all to cool deer..

The Gulfstream Vista Cruiser 19ERD was on our short list before buying an R-pod. Excellent lay out, fit and finish. Bigger fridge and full bathrooms.  It also comes in a pretty cool Retro finish that I liked but the wife didn't. We just came back from a two week trip to the Seattle area. We flew out and motel-ed it. Noticed a LOT of campers out there so we took a detour and visited Pacific Travel Center in Tacoma. Kevin, the owner, took a lot of time to show us the line of Lance campers. The quality of materials and workmanship was impressive. One neat feature was that the AC is 9,000 BTUs and can run off a 2000 watt generator. There's a compartment in the front that coincidentally fits a Honda 2000 watt generator. Nice planning. If he were nearby, or even somewhat closer, we'd buy from him in a minute. 2800 miles is a bit of a stretch though. We'll check out locals in the coming months. Thanks to all who have contributed to this thread. It's been a great resource.

I've been searching for 2 years for the "next" thing.  I want a small bumper pull toy hauler,well under 8000 GVWR, dry bath and 50+ fresh tank. I could get away with bunks, but I want to be able to keep the toys inside when sleeping. (A small Yamaha TW200 dual sport and a couple of mountain bikes).
 The ideal unit would be good for 2 people for a week. So far only very few bumper pull toy haulers fit the bill. I love the lance 2212, but the unloaded tongue weight is too high for my TV and it's much more camper than I need.

I recently found the K-Z Sportsmen Classic 180TH and the Sportster 100 210TH. Always the main problem, no dealers near me with inventory!!

EDIT: Well I found a 2016 K-Z MXT200 and it seems to be the earlier version of the Sportsmen 100 210TH. And it's local, so no more excuses for me, going to see it Sunday.

Someone mentioned Outdoor RV. Right after we purchased our Premier, we went to an RV show and saw the Creek Side by Outdoor RV. It was the only time we had a bit of trailer envy. This trailer comes in 20, 21, 22, 23 and larger, with slide or without depending on the floor plan, has a built-in generator, is 4 seasons (dual pane windows and all), 66-gallon water tank (huge for boondocking) with large holding tanks, very high clearance like the Premier, only slightly heavier than the Premier's 4200 lbs dry weight (I think it was about 4700 until you add all that water, ha! ha!), about the same price, the quality looked excellent, lower ceilings than the cathedral ceilings of the Premier. We sold our 2013 177 Rpod to our son in 2013 and purchased a Keystone Bullet Premier 19fbpr. We sold the Rpod because we were looking for some of the features you mentioned. We loved it and had it for 2 1/2 years, and the only reason we moved to something different is that we wanted a motorhome (almost identical inside look as the Premier). Sold our Premier to another son in spring of this year. He loves it. Has isles on each side of the bed, full bathroom (very large), very adequate storage, dual axle, cathedral ceiling, very spacious for 19 feet - perfect length. It's a high quality camper in our opinion (don't mistake it for the Keystone Bullet-they're different). We were on the Keystone forum and know many other owners of the Premier 19 who love it. I have stepped away from any orphan trailers. With Evergreen out of business, any product support is going to be iffy. They don't seem to have the network like podders do. We looked very very hard at the Element, the original one. It went OOP and I talked to them and they said it was coming back, and when it did, for a short time, it was just a SOB.
