would suggest some sort of cover for the outer skin. UV light can be very hard on fiberglass , and by the time you notice the chalkiness, it needs a new gelcoat at the minimum. So...after spending inordinate amounts of time reviewing RV covers, all I've done is generate more questions.

Anyone out there have any suggestions on what has worked for them in moderate to heavy snow areas? Looking for material type and durability.

Thanks for the input. I'm leaning towards just buying a cover and park it in the yard. I pay $50/mo to store my rpod in an outside lot. Parked in the back yard from about early November until late May. I haven't used a cover, there are no trees to drop debris on it.

Storage is too expensive in my area. My neighbor is a member of the Elks Lodge and one of the benefits is that he gets to store his camper at a fairgrounds all Winter for free under a roof.

I keep my 2015 179 in a heated garage so no cover. I left the trailer plugged in last winter to keep the batteries charged and this summer the converter quit (fortunately still under warranty). We cheat since we own 20 acres and have an old horse barn that is no longer used for its original purpose, we just park it inside for the winter. We pull both our group 24 batteries out and store them in our unheated garage where I will trickle charge (2 amps) each battery in November and then again the following April. We keep ours in an enclosed storage unit where we also store miscellaneous stuff. It costs us $350 a month, but we consolidated two smaller storage units when we rented it, so the net cost for the Pod was $50 a month. I bought a cover. Uncovered storage lots in our area are running $60.00 and up per month. Hi Folks. Just looking for some opinions / experiences on storing the Pod for the winter. Calls around the area show about $75 a month to store it inside, but not heated storage buildings. Looking at about 5 months.
For that amount of money, I could buy a pretty decent RV cover and store it at home for several years. Anyone have any input?
