We just bought a 2009 r-Pod 172. Towed it over one of the high passes of the Sierras and it did just great, as did our Dodge Dakota doing all the work.

Plan on lots of camping in the area around Carson City, NV, on weekend trips, mostly.

The trailer rides a little low in the back due to unavoidable hitch height. It's a little too close for comfort backing it into the driveway, so today I ordered an axle riser kit from Forest River, which I plan to install myself. Cost: $150+shipping. The local dealer wanted $400 for the parts. I'll report back once it's installed.
