Author: mooremg1
Subject: 8741
Posted: 07 Sep 2016 at 10:06am

Hello Everyone. My wife and I just took possession of our new 2017 r-pod 179 and we're looking forward to our first outing to Ohio, West Virginia and Virginia later this month. We previously owned a 2008 Aliner Ease which was easy to tow and a vast improvement in comfort and utility over the tent camping days of our youth. Over the years the Aliner has started to feel more and more cramped inside and with all the storage down low due to its popup nature we decided it was time to get something a bit more comfortable. I have been admiring the r-pods we have seen at campgrounds and when we talked with owners about their experiences they seemed a pretty satisfied group overall. After a lot of reading and research we settled on the 179 as the best configuration for us and I personally think the green/beige colors and subdued stripping scheme makes it one of the most attractive campers I've ever seen. I'm especially excited about the R-Dome since we spend a lot of time relaxing outside in the evenings after kayaking, hiking and exploring the areas we camp in. Having the R-Dome means I will no longer be erecting the screen room from Hell which I have happily passed on to one of my sons.
