    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=5187" rel="nofollow">mcarter</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 8706<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 05 Sep 2016 at 5:07pm<br /><br />We have a R Dome, it's in the shed, I use a Morshade available here in TN that has various mounts, picnic table, reciever hitch, on the ground.&nbsp; It is mobile and around 300 bucks.&nbsp; I have seen places I camped where a right side awning is not what I needed so like the flexibility of a mobile multi mount canopy is cool.&nbsp; It comes complete and fits my needs, plus you get an extra canopy of you color choice.&nbsp; I can supply POC if required.&nbsp; When not camping I mount it on my picnic table in my yard.]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=6010" rel="nofollow">kannamcguire</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 8706<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 05 Sep 2016 at 2:41pm<br /><br /><div>Furpod, your video is priceless and without it, we would have given up on ever trying the rdome out so thank you very, very much.</div><div><br></div><div><font style=": rgb255, 255, 255;">Just to give you the final story:</font></div><div><font style=": rgb255, 255, 255;"><br></font></div><div><font style=": rgb255, 255, 255;">We initially threaded the top on backwards - back to video view #2!!</font></div><div><br></div><div>We then successfully assembled the rdome with some struggles due to an unplanned burst of wind that is typical of Colorado so we did not continue with staking all around.&nbsp; We did have some difficulty getting the grey suction cups to stick; avoiding decals.</div><div><br></div><div>Upon threading the top of the rdome to the channel on the roof, we noticed the threading rod&nbsp;hung&nbsp; down about&nbsp;6"&nbsp;on the opposite side&nbsp;but proceeded regardless.</div><div><br></div><div>After taking everything down, we measured and checked with the instruction flyer only to find out we were given the wrong rdome!&nbsp; They are closed this weekend, Labor Day, so we will call tomorrow, 9/6 and request the right size be sent to us and see what happens!</div><div><br></div><div>I thought this valuable information to share in case anyone out there may have had the same misfortune.&nbsp; I do look forward to using the 'extra' room but will not be able to until next year!&nbsp; </div><div><br></div><div>We are off to see the Aspen changing and camp off the grid at Weston Pass outside of Leadville, CO.&nbsp; </div><div><br></div><div>Thank You again for your valuable information sharing and if you ever make it to Colorado, we would love to put you up as I am quite sure RPoders are all trustworthy, upstanding people!!!</div>]]>

We wouldn't bother at all if it were not for the little clip things on the flap ticking on the side of the pod in any breeze. <br><br>As a side note.. ours came with the little clip things referenced in the instructions.. our dealer didn't install them, and advised against them since its 8 new holes in your pod.. Using suction cups, use caution, don't put them on any stickers or graphics..<br>]]>

We've had it in some fairly windy conditions and it's held fine. There are a whole lot of tie-downs around the bottom flap.<br />One thing you'll want to do right away is get up there and file the edges of the ends on the rail. They are left as-cut and are very sharp. The edges will cut material out of the plastic welt that slides in the rail and it makes it more difficult to slide in or out.]]>

I'm going to try a different order this weekend as I think I have some ideas which will make it easier. Stability wise I think that it's no different than a tent or canvas shelter. It will stay in place if you peg it down correctly. The suction cups worked really well the first time we used them.<br /><br />Cheers]]>

It doubles your living space.  I set mine up alone the first time in about 30 minutes with no instructions, it's very easy after fumbling a bit the first time. I have only set mine up a handful of times as I have only had my 179 a couple of months.  I can set it up in about 15 minutes now by my self.]]>
