Waterproofing tent on 176T : Yes, we have the 176T as well....

So, when we got it it was new and it came with waterproofing instructions. I cant recite it word for word but a few of the first steps were to open the tent all the way and spray it down with a hose. This(according to FR) allowed the tent stitching to expand. They recommended doing this a few times over the course of a few months. Before applying any tent sealer.

Having said that. We have had the tent model now for two years and used it quite extensively. we have had it in hot, cold, rain and wind. Even a little snow. It has never ever leaked. Now you will notice condensation during those chilly nights in the 30's but thats not a leak. it holds up great.
