Luckily, the 1st time I used my solar panels, I hooked up directly to the batteries, so no damage to controller. </div><div>FR said they were wired incorrectly and can be fixed under warranty.&nbsp; ....or, you can just reverse those two wires and solve the problem yourself.</div>]]>

The two wires identified as Solar or Zamp should be connected to the battery in order for this 'port' to 'work'. Do these wires have to be attached to the battery in order to plug a Zamp solar panel into the Zamp outlet on the side?&nbsp; My panel works when I connect directly to the battery but when I plug into the outlet on the side, I get a 601 error which means "not connected to battery".<br><br>]]>
