Ours has a plug with all the wires, so we could just unplug the connector. Check to see if there is a similar connector that can be unplugged instead of cutting the wires. Then you could just wrap the wires up and perhaps make a panel to hide them behind. I think that would be preferable to cutting the wires.]]>

If the next owner wants to put a similar unit back in, is there something that I should be doing for them?<div><br></div><div>I am thinking of cutting each wire from the Emerson just before the wire connectors and also keeping the wiring description of the Emerson unit on file.</div><div><br></div><div>The storage space freed up is AWESOME!</div>]]>
