Is the OBD only for automatic transmissions? 
I have a manual stick shift transmission.

We have a 2015 Nissan Pathfinder with I assume the same engine.  We have the 171 and when I weighed it with all our "stuff" and only about 5 gals. of water it weighed about 2800 lbs.  Pulled fine thru the mountains, during a hot Oregon summer.  I would recommend getting an OBD  scanner to read and display certain engine functions.  Such as radiator water temp, MPG, etc. but most important would be the transmission oil temp.  Normally our Nissan runs about 150 degrees around town.  When towing up a hill on a long climb it has gotten as hot as 225.  Much more than that and you have to throttle back and let the temp come down.  About 250 or higher the transmission fluid starts to break down.  Easy way to keep an eye on the temps.  Mounts on the dash with velcro and plugs into jack under the dash.  Safe Travels. ]]> Sun, 31 Jul 2016 20:28:50 +0000 http://www.rpod-owners.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=8483&PID=79789#79789 New Rpod member : Welcome to the group!Congrats... http://www.rpod-owners.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=8483&PID=79785#79785 Author: Leo B

Hello, My husband and I just purchased a used R-pod 177. 
We will be pulling the R-pod with my 2015 Nissan Xterra V-6 engine. 
The Xterra supposedly can pull a maximum of 5000 pounds. We live in the mountains of Colorado in the summer and Arizona in the winter. 

Worried about the ability to tow the 177. dry weight 2437.
God only knows when we load it up with water, etc. 
anyone have any insight or am I worried about nothing?
