Welcome Dave. I too am a Dave. My wife and I are first year RVers this year with our new 180. My youngest goes to college in a month which makes is empty nesters along with Randy. So I guess I'm a Randy too. :)

Having a blast so far and camping as much as possible.

Welcome and congratulations. I have only owned my 179 for a little over a month. This group helped me pick what I wanted and what best suited my needs. I have had many questions and have received a boat load of help from the folks in this forum. I really like everyone's positive attitude and zeal for knowledge sharing. This forum has really helped me. I think I am going to seek out one of the get-togethers one of these days as this seems to be a great group of people. I believe Forest River has a winner in the rpod 180. My wife and I have not can't in 16 years. But upon seeing this model at the Shipshewana Indiana flea market we fell in love. We still love camping. And especially enjoy the Indiana State Parks

I also agree that the frigerator takes extra long to light up on LP. Air in the line take an extra amount of time to get rid of. Have any other 180 owners had trouble when switching propane tanks fridge won't run on gas after change? Works fine on elect. The 180 is our first camper too!!  Wish I would have know about this site before our first time out. It really is pretty easy to figure out. Welcome!! I Love my 180 and only complaint is trying to make up the bed next to the wall. Hi, this is an introduction of a new RP-180 owner.  The R-pod is my first RV, and I'm quickly learning that there is a lot to know!  That's fine, though, as I am always excited about learning new things (as long as there's no math involved) and I'm very much looking forward to this vast new world.

I'd also like to say that this forum was a very big factor in the decision to go with an R-pod. Through previous experience I have learned that having a good peer-level support group is a must-have, and any product that creates enough interest to support a group like this is worth having.

I'd also like to thank the members that helped me to understand why the sanitization process was delivering nothing but a spurt of blood red fluid rather than water - it was a mix between a had Hollywood scare movie and the biblical plagues the befell Egypt. That said, even tracking the problem down to being nothing more than having been left in winterization mode wasn't the end of my surprises - there's nothing like missing the fresh water and water heater drain plugs and the incumbent flood of water pouring out to get your heart rate up!

So, I'm looking forward to years of new experiences and new problems to share in this forum.
