    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=3022" rel="nofollow">Mountainrev</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 8365<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 11 Jul 2016 at 7:24pm<br /><br />Hi, Bob.&nbsp; Welcome!&nbsp; Your Grand Cherokee has the towing package if it has a factory receiver hitch.&nbsp; I'm guessing it does, since it has the Hemi.&nbsp; I'm not sure they make GCs with Hemis that don't come with the towing package, but I may be wrong.<br><br>Assuming it has the tow package, you're Grand Cherokee is more than adequate for towing the R-pod.&nbsp; You'll need to purchase and install a trailer brake control, however.&nbsp; My Grand Cherokee is the previous generation, but with mine, I had to wire the brake controller, even though it has the factory tow package.&nbsp; I bit of a pain, but do-able if you're at all handy.&nbsp; Hopefully Chrysler got smart by 2012 and yours is "plug and play" for a brake control.&nbsp; <br>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=3640" rel="nofollow">mgbbob</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 8365<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 11 Jul 2016 at 7:09pm<br /><br />Hi folks,&nbsp; I joined a while back to gather information on the Rpod.&nbsp; I still haven't purchased anything.&nbsp; I am now retired but the wife has a few months to go.&nbsp; I have a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a hemi.&nbsp; I don't know if it&nbsp; has the towing package since I purchased it uses.<br><br>I like the 180.&nbsp; I would appreciate any comments if this would be a good mate to the tow vehicle.&nbsp; I could go with something a bit smaller but I like the full size bathroom. <br><br>I have also looked at the 16' Scamp but like the extra room.&nbsp; If there is anyone out there who has had both I would appreciate comments. The Scamps really hold value but I think the Rpods look like a good alternative.<br>Thanks,<br>Bob<br>]]>
