Two more things to consider if anyone wants to check this place out. Erie is a city of 100,000. Outside the campground is not the rural setting that is typical of many places. Also there is an amusement park next door and you hear the roller coasters until about 10pm. So this camp ground was a little odd in that the beach front sites are not numbered and cannot be reserved. We got a little lucky. I'll put up a pic showing where we were. They originally had us on the other side of the road at site 18 but failed to disclose that was next to a bunch of overflowing dumpsters. I went to deal with that in the office and was lucky enough that a spot just opened up on the beach. Absolutely awesome experience camping right on lake erie for 4 nights. Awesome sunsets over the water aren't just for the west coast after all.
