I believe a loose, damaged, or corroded ground point would contribute to both of the POD systems.

The bearings on the motor feel fine, several loose nuts and bolts up there. This thing is a pain to work on -Definitely not designed with service in mind. I'm going bank on it being cool up in Rocky Mountain National Park next week and not worry so much about the Air Conditioner right now.

Thanks for the comments all!

It could be something got in there that shouldn't be there. OTOH, it could be that the blower motor bearings are bad. It might be worth getting it checked out to see what the actual problem is.

But yes the converter is on the 120v system. Using a multimeter, check the converter output. A/C sounds like the blower motor itself. Is the compressor kicking on?
