It's been a long time and I usually ignore such nonsense anyway, but I'd be surprised FR would ship with that warning. That would awaken a whole different set of lawyers. Might also end up in Ripley's Believe It or Not.

That is the rack. I hauled 2 bikes on it behind an RPOD for lots of miles with no problems. Their concern is the dynamic environment of the rear bumper, but it's really a problem of too many lawyers. I have the Highland Sportwing which I believe CharlieM is referring to and I am very happy with the rack. However be aware that the first thing you will see when you open the the box is a warning that this bike rack is NOT to be used on a travel trailer. Go figure.

The spare does not contribute to hitch loading. Two bikes can be carried on the rear receiver, but a lightweight carrier should be used. FR recommends and sells a model, but it is also available from Amazon. We are thinking of ordering the rear mount RPod bike rack.  We have a 176T and the spare tire is inside the fiberglass area, not hanging on the back.  The parts people tell me I am OK to just put the bike rack hitch in...no need to move the spare tire...only reason to move it would be if it was in the way.  I am worried about the weight on the back, but I guess the spare tires weight isn't on the hitch.
