Is something rubbing? My mistake.  I do run the tires at 50 psi.  Also, I have the standard R-Pod.  Thanks for the input.

I think that for a trailer tire, 35 psi is way too low. The tag on my R-Pod indicates that the tires should be at 50 psi. Check the tag (should be on the front, left side of the trailer if the previous owner did not remove it. Also, automobile tires should NOT be used for the R-Pod. It needs tires rated for trailer use.

Low tire pressure can cause excessive heating and tire failure. I suspect that is the cause of the blowouts.

I recently purchased a 2009 R-Pod 17.1.  After buying it, I learned that the previous owner had bought it new and had had several blowout problems since day one with one blowout destroying the fender.  While using the trailer (35 psi inflation at 50 miles per hour), I also experienced a blowout that again destroyed the fender. The tires in each situation were practically new and I was told that a bent axle could possibly be causing the excessive number of blowouts.
