Welcome and congratulations! We purchased our R-Pod in December and a week later took off for Nevada and Arizona. Talk about a maiden voyage! Anyway, since then, we have made some significant improvements, many of which are documented in ouR escaPOD mods. You may find some of these helpful for your 179.

Recently picked up our new R-Pod 179. Have yet to use it, but made a few improvements (IMO). Now the poles for the R-Dome fit in the outside front storage and are fastened up out of the way but still accessible and also gained a few inches of storage space by moving a small dividing partition under the bed. . Will be pulled by a 05 Jeep unlimited. But that may change. Looking forward to the maiden voyage.
