Easy to put on except I am a bit short so I need a step stool. It sometimes snags on the screw heads in the railing and you have to wiggle it to get it to go through. As far as storage it smaller and lighter then one of those folding camp chairs. I thought it was expensive for what you get and I would have preferred an actual awning, but at least it's something over the door.
