    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=1146" rel="nofollow">jato</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 7561<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 12 Mar 2016 at 3:00pm<br /><br />Congratulations John and Ruthie on your purchase and new members on this forum.&nbsp; Every winter we put our 177 into 'hibernation' mode in our horse barn.&nbsp; And even with a cat we had damage to our Jayco popup as they managed to get inside and make a mess of the canvas.&nbsp; <br><br>We have had our 177 in the same location (horse barn) for the past 5 winters and have not had any issues with mice.&nbsp; I do the following to negate their entrance:&nbsp; steel wool the 2 exhaust ports coming out of your furnace, 3 dryer sheets inside - front - middle-back.&nbsp; I know there are mice in that barn because I see them scurrying about every now and then plus I see our cat proudly bringing them out for us to see<img src="http://www.rpod-owners.com/smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" alt="Big smile" title="Big smile" /> and approve.<br>]]>

We have gone from a tent trailer to an R Pod and really have a lot to learn. I have read many many posts about everything and have learned so much so thank you for that.<div><br></div><div>I do have a question... &nbsp;I read the post about mice, w<span style="line-height: 16.8px;">e just recently had an issue with a mouse in the tent trailer, we will use the expandable foam but what&nbsp;</span><span style="line-height: 1.4;">do you do with the dryer sheets? And the cotton balls with peppermint oil?&nbsp;</span></div><div><span style="line-height: 1.4;"><br></span></div><div><span style="line-height: 1.4;">Glad to be in this group!</span></div>]]>
