The 18 inches we got on Wednesday was very heavy and wet so, I wasn't able to use the snowblower...just my shovel and me.  Couldn't even push it off of the deck, had to lift and throw (not a good idea by the way) or lift, walk and drop it. I need to get a two-stage snowblower for the really heavy shows like this one. Otherwise, my single-stage blower has worked well since purchased in 1989! I only put about 20 minutes so far on my snow blower this year. We ended up with only 8 inches of snow on Thursday.  One of my co-workers couldn't make it as he received about 13 - 14inches on snow.  He lives near Boyne Falls.

I seen your weather forecast earlier this week and decided to postpone a steelhead fishing trip on the Big Manistee down at Wellston.

Down in our corner of the state we didn't get any of that. Just a lot of wind and rain. Yeah, talk about crazy weather! 54 yesterday. Hey Ak Schwabs, welcome! I am planning a week in Fairbanks in July. Was going to make resv at the Rivers Edge campground. Can you tell me anything about that? Or a more rustic wooded site? I don't need a gift shop or laundry, he, he. Itching to take off the JPod cozy, put out the slide out and install the boat load of accessories I have accumulated over the winter!

We usually run a "white noise" generator app on one of our phones. It helps cover the furnace noise. In addition, I have a fan running to help circulate the heat so it doesn't build up so much under the bed. That also helps cover the noise. Third, my CPAP machine also helps. On our first big trip over Christmas, after the first night, we really didn't notice the furnace cycling on and off. Winter is long up there.. I honestly would like to see how the heater keeps up in those temps. That's about -15F.. I know our little ceramic can keep the pod warm to about 5F. But that's about the coldest it's ever been here and I checked it. It was only 50F or so in the pod, but that's warm enough, and that was only the ceramic.
