I bought the Champion 2000 watt inverter model at the beginning of this year. So far, it hasn't missed a beat. In the latest Costco mailer starting 10/29/15 they had the Champion 2800 watt generator on sale for $699. This is the generator I have. It is enough to start my AC on my 2012 177
