Follow up to the question about using Velcro to attach the seat ends to the bench in the dinette.

I found that the bench ends do indeed have a purpose; to keep the plywood under the cushions from sliding and keeping my ass from falling in the storage area.  Well that didn't happen, but I could see the possibility.

So I flipped the plywood over and added 1"X 1"'s at each end to keep the plywood from sliding either direction.  Since I was there, I also ran a piece vertically in the middle as an attempt to strengthen the seat.

I'll post a pic if I can remember.

It's from Amazon and was $15.00.  The post has the link.  It took me a while to determine where I could install without having to drill a hole and still having access to 12v power.  It's mounted a little lower than I'd prefer, but will be convenient when in bed.  Otherwise I just need to bend over a bit 'cause it really needs to be seen direct on.  Also, it is bright.  The display can be blue or green.  Green is even brighter than the blue.

That would solve three of our curiosities and concerns all at once.

I think you are referring to the decorative fabric wrapped piece of wood at the end of the couch.  If so, ours began seperating the first night.  I realized this was going to be a problem if not remdied, so I removed the screws and used Velcro to attach them.

Our 2011 Pod has 44 known user nights. (don't know much about the Pods first couple years) Our cushions are in reasonably good condition. Our complaint along this line is the fabric covered strip that holds the cushion on the seat is breaking away. Noticed on here some one made new ones out of solid wood and fastened them more securely.

Good time to take advantage of that 12 month warranty. I do hate it for you though. Sounded to like he wasn't asking anyone on the forum to do anything about it ,more like buyer be ware!!!!!
