I checked with Forest River, and they say this will fit the 178, as long as your 171 is 2012 or newer.  What year is your 171?

Used for about a year on Rpod 171. Complete dome in bag, includes screening cut to fit under Rpod 171. Sustained 15" rip in fabric where joins keder strip/track (we reoaired with Gorilla taoe and several coats of fabric sealer/waterproofing.
