Author: Up the Pitt
Subject: 6704
Posted: 26 Jul 2015 at 6:03pm

Just got home from our very first overnight in our new RP 179. We chose a campground about 100 km from our home just outside Vancouver, the Harrison River RV park: http://harrisonriverrv.com Our choice of campground was made strictly based on availability: having acquired our RP faster than we thought this summer, we'd failed to make weekend bookings in any of the more popular parks so we're pretty much taking "pot luck" now.

Happily, Harrison River RV park has a lot to recommend it. For $55 CDN/night we got a fully serviced site right adjacent to the river, with a fishing dock right out our front door. We met two sets of nice neighbours (note to self: bring stuff for a cheese platter or quick plate of appies on these weekend trips - everyone else had something to bring to the campfire, we were empty handed). Owner was friendly, washrooms were clean, and the campground was very quiet after 10 pm.

We liked this park enough that we've booked back in there for Labour Day weekend. There are still a few spots available for that weekend if any Vancouver-area RPers are interested in joining us!
