Bricks, cinderblocks and common sense. I have used no stakes. I have used stakes all around. I have taken it down upon approaching severe weather or the night before leaving if it's gonna rain during the night. I've BBQ'd chicken under it in 20 knot winds and driving rain (still smells good). 12-24 hour forecasts are pretty easy to come by...or a look at the sky.

You can give it a try if you stake the front and you don't have any wind above 1 mph. We are picking our 179 with an R-Dome this week.  We have a park we are interested in staying in next January.  Each site has a concrete pad for the trailer plus a concrete pad that extends to the side where the R-Dome would be set up.  The two straps extending from the top of the dome could be secured to ground stakes but securing the perimeter would be an issue.  Has anyone else run across this issue?  If so, how did you resolve it?
