Would it be to difficult to maybe rate a dealer in diiferent catogories example according to their service and seperate their prices. Since we both seem to be in agreement, we just need someone to collate the expressed opinions and gather them together. I don't think it will be difficult, just time consuming. I think this is just a natural extension of what this forum offers to existing Rpod owners and potential owners. On occasion, I see potential owners asking for some guidance in purchasing and or maintaining their Pods. Thank you for your understanding. Perhaps someone will step forward who is willing to do this. No doubt, Admins have or will read this and will be happy to consider any offers. What you propose is not a bad idea....it comes down to who will do the work????

Well put. However, I am not looking for another job. I only suggested to the forum that such a table would be most helpful to us all. I am not familiar or comfortable working with software or creating and maintaining same. I think their may be others who read and post here that have a more extensive background in creating and maintaining this for all. I think this is something you could do without manipulating existing posts. If you want it to be a "sticky" or create a new sub-forum (under this forum), then Admins would have to make the call & create.

You can always edit your own posts. So, if you create it, you can change/update it as needed. To reference existing posts, just insert a link to that post.

Example:

State #1

Honest David's RV Sales
Honerst David's RV Sales

Dishonest David's RV Sales
Dishonest David's RV Sales

State #2

Weird David's RV and Old Ford Pinto Sales

State #3

Like above

For ratings, you could use the emoticons, such as:
Great

Good

Fair

Poor

Awful

assigning a numerical value to each and coming up with an average.

The original posts of members would have to be modified by them, should they wish to assign a rating.

If you have something else in mind, please feel free to give an example, so that I might better understand.

I'm going to offer a general opinion and the Admins are free & quite capable of speaking for themselves ......These guys do a lot of work (often behind the scenes) and shoulder all expenses of this forum. The forum costs the rest of us nothing and we are not subject to advertising when we visit. We all owe these guys a BIG thank you for all that they have done and continue to do (for free, as their time allows). Because of this, their life's commitments, etc., they may be a bit reluctant to take on even more; such as building and maintaining something like this.

I was suggesting something a little easier to use. Like a chart set up by state. Then you could find comments by state and then by dealer. Trying to search is a little more troublesome and I think that at a glance this would be easier to use. There is a particularly bad dealer here that potential buyers need to know about. And there are good ones here too.

A simple rating and search system is the key.

No reason that we couldn't. My suggestion would be that each who has a story to share should send a short paragraph describing their good or bad experience with some background on the event. We could then build a simple graph which would be delineated by state or province and then the dealers name. Should be relatively easy to do and I think would be very helpful to us all. I put this to all of us on the forum. Since we have all dealt with dealers either purchasing or servicing our Rpods why don't we create a topic that lists our experiences, good or bad. The responses could be grouped by state and then dealer. Seems that Yelp has been doing this for years in rating restaurants. Any new purchaser could look up the particular dealer they are working with and get a real heads up on what others have experienced. Could make some "bad actor" dealers shape up if enough campers respond. I think it would be extremely helpful to all. Naming names would certainly go a long way in attracting the attention of dealers who continue to "prey" on us. I know some have posted a dismal account of service from a particular dealer but gets lost in the rest of the posts. If a chart of some type could be created whereby a potential buyer or someone who needs service could post their experiences, I for one would find it very helpful. Once we are on the road and away from our local dealer, and requiring service, we are lost in the woods about finding a competent, honest service provider. I think there is a vast amount of experiences that could be posted that would be most helpful.
