BTW, when I was working on the spoiler I noticed that the seams along the entire edge of the roof are sealed next to the metal strip with silicone sealant. To repair leaks along these edges you will have to remove the silicone and replace it (preferably with polyurethane). This could be a big job depending on how much silicone you have to replace. There also seems to be some type of caulking spreading out along the seams in places. When I have my spoiler redone I'll have the repair shop look at this also and report back to the forum. I'm using a very good and trusted repair guy for this.

By now they should have come up with a better and permanent solution for a light bar that once attached is not going to come off or leak into the inside. I did and I don't have an engineering degree. The LED lights should last a lifetime but if they do fail one should be able to remove and replace them from the outside.
Sorry to hear that you are at the end of your rope, I hope that your dealer can fix it right.
Spoiler Problems : Over the past few weeks I have...

    Author: renosteve
Subject: 6196
Posted: 09 May 2015 at 6:05pm

Over the past few weeks I have 2 posts about the leaking spoiler on our 2012 RPOD 177. The spoiler is a semi-flexible plastic that has cupped between what I thought were screws placed about 6 inches apart around the perimeter. This has caused the silicone sealant FR used around the edges to pull loose and cause major leaks. Today I started to fix the problem by taking off the spoiler and cleaning all surfaces. I was going to put butyl tape under the spoiler, Dicor around the perimeter and Pro-Flex on top of the screw heads. BIG SURPRISE -- the spoiler is riveted to the roof, not screwed. I give up. I'm taking it in to a dealer to be fixed. RPODers, you need to check those black spoilers. What happens if those red LED bulbs burn out, or there is a short. You can't easily remove the spoiler. This spoiler setup is a cheap and inadequate fix to the light problem FR had.
