When I bought my TT, I was happy about having a toilet until I found out about the maintenance and dumping :( (and since we always dry camp, having to find a dump station is just not convenient).
Most places we've been have public restrooms with showers, and during the nighttime, we use a luggable loo for midnight runs.
With that said, I found this interesting solution (if a bit pricey) that is sold at Home Depot to replace my unused toilet. I can also get a waste gate valve and nearly double my gray tank capacity by not using the blank tank for sewage.
Anyone here have any experience with this?

Yup, those indicators are useless on the black tank (and for the battery), might work on the gray tank and should work on the fresh tank. Make sure your black tank is at least 2/3 full before dumping. The easiest way to know your black tank is full is you'll start to see it rise up in the tube below the toilet. We had a great overnight. Love the R dome. Dogs loved the R dome. Backed up into the spot no problem.

Everything worked well on the Pod. The only problem is that after one flush the black water tank read full. I am assuming there is a sensor problem cause i looked down and saw nothing. The lesson learned was at the dump station, we decided to dump the black and grey water as we bought it used and was not sure if the previous owner left us with a full black water, the dumping was not an issue but I forgot to push the lever back in before I disconnected the hose.

Good luck. Remember if you put your hand at the bottom of the steering wheel, then you move your hand in the direction you want the pod to go.

Much better than 42 pounds of gear, too (how much I used to carry before I went ultralight).

So Tomorrow is our first time taking the Pod out for camping. Spent the last few days putting things in the pod. We are are heading out about 6 am and should get to the campsite around 9 am. Just in time for everyone to be waking up and watching me attempt to back into the site. Last weekend we took the Pod to a local high school parking lot and practiced backing up. I actually made it into my drive way on the first attempt. Hope my TRA (trailer Reversing Anxiety) does not get the better of me tomorrow.

Thanks to all for the numerous tips posted on this forum. Can't wait to report back on Sunday night how it went. All I can say is that it has to be easier than carrying 35 pounds of gear on your back, walking 10 miles and sleeping on the ground. LOL
