thanks techntrek. There's some truth there as well. Gonna have 2 mounted spares for sure. Last time there without trailer i found lots of roads that were paved for the first 2 miles or so then deteriorated from there. Extra spare tire mounted near tongue should be ok? Our rpod 179 came with Westlake CR 857 tires. Kind of all an terrain tread. I'm wondering if these are quality tires or just the cheapest tire they could put on that look cool. Were heading to Alaska this summer and I'm thinking of changing them out. Lots of rough and gravel roads and some flat tires are a given.
