It will technically fit all models. The 179 seems to be a bit taller so the back of the Rdome doesn't reach the ground well enough to stake it. We have kids and dogs and sometimes the kids bring more kids, so I'd like a more enclosed area if they sleep in it. In the pictures the manufacturer posts it's staked well to the ground and level. Mine doesn't. If I knew how to post a pic I could show you.

100%. If your 177 has risers it will be just a little higher than one without, the dome will still fit fine.

From what I understand when they raised the 2015 the existing rdomes lenght wasn't long enough. I think it will fit the models before 2015. I will pull the paperwork and get the measurements to you. It may take a day. 😊

RDOME FOR SALE!
Purchased with the 2015 179 in Sept of 2014. this unit has been used on five short camping trips.
I want the RDome that fits the 2015 correctly.   
A Forest River Rep suggested I sale it. They will not do any exchanges or discounts even though they know the product they sold me with my 179 isn't long enough. ☺️ Doesn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling.
